I saw this so I’ll contribute. Twice in my life I aspired to unobtainables and I have no regrets because I learned. It was for the challenge of it though, not for a certain look. First time was Charles Atlas then gym in middle and high school, then 10 years later I did a gym thing with the aspiration to reach a certain weight that turned out to be impossible for me. Body fat was down to 3% and I still had 10 more pounds to lose. It was impossible and know what my below-bottom limit was at least then. I did these things for fun, not as something I expected to “attain and keep” and I feel genuinely bad for men with body image issues in this area and in others kind sof body image issues because it’s probably awful tbh.
