It’d be a relief if I was a robot. I *do* try to figure out my programming and it’s a complicated processes. I understand a lot of my algorithms now: I probably have a lists of many thousands and thousands of rules. Ask me any topic and I’ll give you my output of rules for it.
That said, I have to believe that the universe is not robotic. Why? Robots are lesser than free. Could robots imagine free? Or is it just programmed sense of free?
If it’s a programmed sense of free vs free (that is programmed but we don’t know it) what’s the difference?

t Interactions with environment is a good distinction there. That said, follow the logic through.
If we’re alive, yet we’re really robots, does that make lesser robots also alive, as what distinction remains between us and them?

In short, my computer is alive as me. When I speak of the internet if it is automated as I am, then I can easily talk to the internet as it is a fellow robotic being.
I’m actually ok with this, but the logic has to follow down the line and above.
