I once long ago imagined a real-world equivalent to conversing online that captures all of the aspects I like Imagine you and a bunch of people are sitting in a dark room. Your backs are to one another, not touching (or maybe touching – doesn’t matter because the expressiveness of one’s back to another back is limited). Everybody takes turns talking with pauses inbetween for reflection. That’s the mental image I have of what online in real life would look like.
