I never thought about it honestly. It’s just “always there” yet it’s ALSO something people don’t usually make at home. Weird really.

It’s delicious. If you see “concession stand” or “snacks”, they’ll have it. 7-11 has it. “Wawa” and “Quick Chek” and any number of convenience stores have it.

If you go to a kids’ baseball game, the crappy little wooden concession stand will have it.

If you go to the movies, they’ll have it.

It’s really just about everywhere now that I think about it.

I always think, “I’m going to go to one of those clubs and buy a 5 lb container of Nacho cheese and big bags of tortillas and do it at home myself!” – but i never do.

that’s the truth. It’s got nothing good for you in it. All salt, fat, empty corn flour, fake cheese flavor… and it’s amazing.

what fish? fish? no no no.. no no… no… i mean, you can have a can of sardines on the side if you want… but not on top… no no….

====

they’re usually shared with others. If you put fish on top… it’s a social taboo

====

typical american response, “DUDE, YOU DON’T PUT FISH ON TOP!”… then you say “Oh but I’m not from America”. “OH… FOREIGNER… YEAH… FIGURES”

====

It’s the only good answer because that’s the only reason

====

nah, just “foreigner”. Most Americans don’t pay much attention to *which* kind of foreigner

===

In America, because immigrants are a part of our culture, once we learn somebody’s not from America, it’s just “”oh, foreigner”. Being white, blond hair, black, Jewish, Greek, Chinese, Korean, Middle Eastern? It’s all the same.

====

All Americans are ultimately nationalists. North part of America hides it better. South part of America doesn’t hide it that well.

wouldn’t change a thing. We expect idiots in charge and we’re never disappointed.

By the time you have kids, it might be considered child abuse to NOT allow your kids internet access. It’s such a part of everything now.

I’m hoping it becomes a utility, something automatic. I think it will be soon.

====

Very true. Google was GOING to make a “separate but equal” internet for kids a few years ago but they seemed to drop the idea.

Eventually though, I expect somebody will do something like that.
