I never gained “drawing confidence” (with any medium with any tool) so I usually give up before I go too far. But I keep revisiting it every once in a while. I just visited a “30 minute speed painting” challenge group on Facebook to see what people are doing. Whew – so far ahead of where I could ever expect to be. But I saw one, “Last human on earth” and I did something, which I won’t post there but I’ll throw up (like vomit :) ) on my profile here, as this is my refrigerator for posting my macaroni and glue art.

My favorite input device is a trackball. But they’re expensive (good ones) and the last one I had died years ago. So I make do with a cheap mouse.

I couldn’t “get” the hand-eye-screen coordination for the tablet until today. I’ve had this thing for probably 5 or more years. I drag it out, try it out, get frustrated with it, and put it away. This time though, it’s making sense to me.

This is the thread that got me over the hump. I thought I was the only one that had trouble drawing with a tablet. I didn’t know it was common. Once I realized I wasn’t the only one having ongoing trouble “getting it”, suddenly everything was easier.
