i never could abide by a no-free-will argument as it’s quite silly as it posits a straw-free-will only to knock it down. Well it’s easy to knock down when it’s presented as if it means something absurd. While I think Dennett can go a little far once he’s in the realm of … oh I forgot where we part ways — but I’d say that I probably agree 80+% of the way with Dennett – in fact, 100% up to the point where we diverge at which point I can’t follow his arguments at all. But it’s likely in this situation, I’d probably agree 100% with him – I should check. I mean I get the appeal of the no-free-will but it’s just too simplified.
