Heck no. The way unemployment is measured worldwide is a travesty. But when it comes to consumer prices, they’re pretty solid. The reason is trillions and trillions of money flow depend on it being accurate. Who is William’s audience?

You can’t use consumer price metrics from 1993 to calculate 2021 because the products people purchase are not the same.
