But the idea is: We see the rest of the world through our own worldview, whatever that worldview is, and everything OUTSIDE of that worldview sits WITHIN the worldview at the edges, compressed and simplified. Flattened. And so we often stereotype those outside of our worldview because we have a very “thin” view of them, in ways that fit our understanding but not necessarily theirs.
