I love your framing of this. You explain well why our non-epistemic values matter in almost a poetic, nobel fashion. It brings back the romantic aspects of why so many of us here love the sciences; the ability they have to hone our humanity in positive ways. My writing emphasized transparency almost to excess but reading yours reminded me of why; it is to perform with conscienciousness at all times.
