I keep my “yay America” under my hat most of the time because I’m not an “America: Right or Wrong” guy but I like America when it works well and I believe it’s capable of amazing things now and again.

Christ I went to school with both of them. No surprise at-all even though I haven’t seen either since 7th/8th grade. Good lord.

I’m 48 and they were both either my grade or above, I forget anymore. Once upon I time I’d say “probably ‘just’ talking s___” – but that “boys will be boys” excuse doesn’t hold water anymore ever since people have gotten emboldened by the political climate over the past few years to do previously unthinkable acts.

Boston Tea Party was based on not paying bills (taxes). For better or for worse, patriotism isn’t linked to profit or taxes but freedom of speech, assembly, pursuit of happiness, liberty, etc.

It’s peaceful. It’s time-limited (will there be marching in a week in Naples? no).

I watched the whole march yesterday, shocked it was happening here. Now it’s happening again, much smaller. Soon it will be no more.

You got every right to feel your feelings about things. Goes along with freedom of speech. Why aren’t the police being jerks? Because they know how to police property. Give people leeway and let them be and make sure their first amendment rights are protected.
