I imagine they’re working for me and then I’m grateful for all the hard work they’re putting in.

Oh that reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holacracy – but hm.. what you’re talking about is more than that.

Let me see if there are bubbling efforts somewhere in that regard. One thing I’ve discovered, often to my dismay, is when I hit upon a novel idea, I find someone else has *also* thought it up. I used to get annoyed at it – my one and only patent idea I even bothered almost TRYING back in ’99, was filed for the first time 6 months BEFORE me by a guy working for Hitachi. Fucker.
Absolutely identical. Now its everywhere. But at least I didn’t waste my money and it was a strong lesson in two things:
a) I’m unique but not always
b) Sometimes there’s a “time” for things to emerge and if I get a great idea it’s likely 1000+ other people around the globe have the SAME idea and ONE of those people just might succeed in doing something about it.

So I’ve learned now, when I have a great novel idea, to find out WHO did it/is doing it/ is talking about doing it… and REALLY look for it. [I have the worlds biggest library right here at my fingers – no excuses! – and if I find someone else did it/is doing it/ might do it, I do this:

I imagine they’re working for me and then I’m grateful for all the hard work they’re putting in.

Helps me get over myself tongue emoticon
