Yeah, that’s the social construct.
“should be allowed”? What’s new there? Put bubble gum over your webcam if you like. Watch what you say online if you like. Who said anyone ever had privacy?
Of course you can fight the bits you don’t like, but that “oh nu, someone might be watching” should eventually become an adulting moment of acceptance.
Still, it’s important to fight the excesses of surveillance because the illusion of privacy really *is* quite nice. I hang onto my privacy illusions now and again too. Now where’s my stuffed animal?
