I hereby vow to use 1/2 a can of flying insect spray
for a single mosquito
who will vanish for a short while
then reappear once the killing fog clears
having pulled in blood from me
engorged and happy but ready for more
empowered for having beaten the poison
and outsmarted the human
with ease
again
