I heard Cuomo’s bit and I’m no fan of the NRA’s tactics and hands-in-politician’s pockets bit (‘you’ll lose our voters if you don’t do [x]’ bit). BUT, ACLU’s right in this case. Cuomo crossed a line that he should walk back, even if I might ideologically more or less agree with it. If you’re in political power, you should be responsible. I can think of a lot of far worse offenders of this (“enemy of the people” anyone?) but just ’cause there’s way worse out there, doesn’t mean this also shouldn’t be handled properly.

Mind you, I’m not saying Cuomo shouldn’t have free speech. But I’m not a free speech absolutist.
