Oh I agree. They’re just beyond me.
Corporations will continue to do what they do and function. Governments will do what they do and generally function.
They want to survive, not get sued in the case of corporations and not get civil war in the case of governments.
I’m a citizen. I have a mortgage I could complain about the unfairness of. I have bills I could complain about the unfairness off. I have lots of things I could complain about.
It’s a power game. As it stands, even the concessions in the trade agreements that are supposed to benefit individuals benefit PATENT holders, which are typically white men making $88,000/yr at bare minimum and no lower.
There’s a wall there. I can’t cross it. Had a nice job once where I could’ve theoretically gone over it had I played some politics and became some kind of management. Or if had finished college (another financial racket I won’t start ranting about because I can) and played the kissing butt game to get the good jobs there.
But I didn’t. Can I open my mouth and complain? Yes I can. I have nothing against those that do complain.
But what can I actually *do*?
Nothing. I’m a citizen. I’d be a citizen if I was born elsewhere in the world. I’m a citizen here.
I have battles I can fight and win. Some, I can’t.
