I have a long internet memory and I’m less impressed by novel things if they’re just one off experiments and don’t stick around.

Off the bat Knol, Google code, Orkut, the end points changing for many of their APIs and monetizing so many of them, their everything email replacement (I forgot what it was called – it was cool though) .. Google reader ., that’s a few off the bat though. A lot of them directly affected my processes but it left a taste of “not dependable” over the years. I still like them – been using regularly since 2002 when they acquired Usenets archives – that’s another one – they made searching by date impossible and removed Boolean). Moving photos around is another one. I can go on but this is a start.
