I had a similar thing in that with ADHD Why have I always been obsessed by time and timing? I could play Anything by ear on the piano, I could figure out and play any instrument that you threw at me — might still be able to but I’m way out of practice — but I could never keep time steadily. My motor always ran a little fast or a little slow. Erratic undependable. And it was subtle – in the realm of milliseconds but most of music is in the realm of a few hundred milliseconds, at least the color timber texture onset harmonics — and timing… So back in 2013 I went on a big cognitive science Quest — I delved into chemistry and material surfaces, stick slip, soaps vs oils, cognitive development, Evo devo, math theory — on top of a life interest in theoretical physics. But most of it was tangental from self discovery – going deeper into parts from other points of view that would ultimately tie back to the same things
