I guess I’m conspiracy-coverup’d out for the most part. Slimeballs have always been in charge. The convincing slimeballs put up a good front and history treats them well. But the llazy slimeballs are too obvious and history writes their sliminess down and they’re remembered poorly.

I think people overestimate how bad they are sometimes too, especially with a juicy narrative and lots of charts and graphs.

It’s exciting when there’s a conspiracy at the top. There’s always some conspiracy in somebody’s mind somewhere about something.

I guess I had early exposure: Growing up, a neighbor was into conspiracy. This was the early 80s. I got to hear about the NSA, “New World Order”, The Trilateral Commission, and changing baddies from the Catholic Church to the Democrats to whoever he was annoyed at that day. He’d draw me these things on paper linking them together.

Of course it was interesting but it served as a warning to me whenever I got wrapped up in something juicy-sounding because I remember what it looks like to other people.

Well it’s also how I look like to myself. “Is this me?” If I was by myself, is this who I would want to be?

I’ve gotten wrapped up in some things before. I never regretted any of it but even while I was into them, I understood why I lost friends. It was fine because I believed in it as important.

Last time was when I was into the Russian Orthodox church. Mid-late 20s, maybe 5-6 years. Major convertitis. I had a ball, totally wrapped myself into it. Even did a little monastery stay.

I guess I’m always getting myself wrapped up in something. But I suppose pointing out “the evils that men do” [using generic ‘men’ form] just isn’t my thing much. Some causes I get that way about : the education system can get my ire. But politicians I expect to be shits. I worry more about the non-politicians who get themselves wrapped up in True-capades that in the end don’t usually accomplish much more than convincing the already convinced that certain people are awful people.. people they already thought were awful people. Circular. Snake eating its tail.
