I found the first mention I made of panentheism: it was in 2015. I’d made a long rambling post in a philosophy group and was arguing with a few folks. It confirmed what I remembered – the “is the universe math?” and a part I didn’t – the shift in consciousness from panentheism of Carl Sagan to the New Atheism that was popular in 2015 still (less so now). I _think_ somewhere a few years later, when puzzling between pantheism and panentheism is that I felt uncomfortable assigning ANYTHING a single material/spiritual thing as the only component of the universe. I can’t see the Universe being made of Math or Physics or Logic. Yet I can’t fully commit to all stuff being itself Divinity Yet, I’m not a fan of forms – this eternal database in the sky holding perfections. But: is there a spectrum of more or less divine? If there is – some possibility of a lesser or greater – then what would “the other” be? In a pantheistic view, I don’t think there could be an other as it is all one. [me, 2025]
