I find direct eye contact more than 2 seconds long to be painful The only exceptions are cats and children and a few people I know. But most people I can’t do eye contact for more than a few seconds. Very rarely somebody has an ability to hold my eye contact in such a way that I’m ok with it but it’s extremely rare and I have no idea how they do it. But it’s very very rare.
