I feel as if you are both fighting a “pure free will” argument here. But am not now, never have and never would advocate for a “pure free will argument” because it’s absurd. But it is equally absurd for different reasons that we have none. The sheer different in scales between levels; you can’t go from subatomic to society because they function differently; they are not equivalent nor the same. They follow different rules and it’s disingenuous to keep using quantum mechanics as a metaphor for social or psychological things;
