I enjoy the hunt of things to read. I enjoy hunting for particular parts of a paper and targeting the core features, particularly found in the CONCLUSION / DISCUSSION and somewhat in the ABSTRACT, glancing through the charts and images and doing a background check on the authors to understand their modus operandi. Then I usually produce SOMETHING – a post, video, piece of digital art, music – as a result of it. Some action with a tangible product. AND I do it as a bit of an aggressive speed game. But… … if I want to memorize something that I’m not going to use right away in some way? That’s when it gets hard.
