I don’t think there’s a *thing* that’s closed anywhere. It’s a messy, leaky Universe.

so true – and the thing is, if ANYTHING could _really_ be closed, it’d be invisible.

Imagine a closed object. Doesn’t interact at all. Doesn’t reflect. Doesn’t absorb. Doesn’t generate heat. Doesn’t follow inertia. Doesn’t interact in any way with the observable.

It might as well not exist.

But it could still be there.

My “big theory” I was going to run with about a year ago, I called “The Leaky Triangle”. I couldn’t find any simpler way to analogize the concept. Everything leaks something – that’s why we’re aware of them at all. Things leak forces. They leak photons. They leak _something_.

A perfect triangle drawn on a piece of paper isn’t closed – we can see it! It leaks itself out to us so we can observe it.

Closure? Hah – I don’t think there’s a *thing* that’s closed anywhere. It’s a messy, leaky Universe.
