I don’t think there’s a dichotomy between love and reason though. When reasoning with love in mind (or with the mind in the heart) it’s essentially the same idea. I just like the formulation of having love be the guiding force.
After all, why show evidence at all? Out of love. Why accept evidence when shown rather than, say, starting a war over it? Love.
“Does God exist?” can be changed to “Does love exist?”
“Does God exist?” cannot be changed to “Does logic exist?” unless one is making logic equivalent to God. I know people that do : many logicians consider logic as the foundation of all. For them, their God is logic.
