I don’t think the overall idea of populating the universe is awful or anything; but it’s all of the consequences of such a belief; for example; a “today doesn’t matter” as a way to put your own life in perspective is one thing. But a “today doesn’t matter” when an atrocity happens and it’s used as a justification for lack of empathy, is another and “today doesn’t matter” as a justification because one is CAUSING suffering — it’s all different levels
