I don’t think pardoning is the worst feature of a governor or a president. This is a feature every leader has, whether democratically elected or king/queen. As the law-maker of the land, and the figure-head of authority, it’s uniquely their place in fact. There are other things that would concern me more like executive orders when the regular processes of congress should take place, that are far more worrysome.
