I don’t think I could. My problem with the Brookings Institute is that it is close-but-different-enough that I know it would grate painfully.
They traditionally represented Conservative Democrat and middle-of-the-road Republican leanings but have gone more to the Republican side over the decades, lately working a lot with the Heritage Foundation.
And the thing is; they represent what I think conservatives in the USA _should_ be when they are at their best.
But I’ve never been conservative; even in its moderate form such as this, often termed “the classic liberal” stance, it’s simply a more reasonable foe
