I don’t think he understands or cares about the American version of free speech; he just wanted to be amplified and he is. He’s my age, enjoying being the Dad Age Meme guy – because I do the same stuff with my nes and things; knowing “just enough” to be quirky funny to younger generations in memes but not enough to “really” ‘get’ what the current memes are. – maybe iFunny level, which is about where he and I are both at – and most people on iFunny are.

I think he’s a little more desperate for a sense of relevance than I am though. I have it and feel it too; – and we definitely both share bad ADHD traits – but I think he needs it more than I do

 

 i view the unfathomably wealthy as perpetually bored people looking for entertainment but can’t get it in conventional ways because there’s a lack-of-surprise in their lives.
If they want it, they buy it. No surprises in their lives.
So they create drama and excitement around them. They see how people respond. It’s interesting to them. They cease to be bored for a bit.
