He has a cult following. I saw one or two of his videos. Not my style. He’s not stupid but he’s often wrong.
He’s good at what he does. If you accept his approach and his politics, it’d be enjoyable. I just don’t care for either so he kind of grates against me a little. But he’s good at what he does.
I don’t hate him – I’m just not part of his fandom. I don’t tend to follow folks who tell me how to think unless they already agree with my preconceived notions or challenge them in significant ways.
He’s not opposite my way of thinking nor agreeable to it. I’m just not a fan of his angle of approach.
I do like Massimo Pigliucci though. He suits my way of thinking more closely.
He gets off course early and by the time he’s done you find yourself somewhere else. If one agrees with some of his basic assumptions and angle of approach this would be fine. But I don’t, so what seems reasonable to someone who accepts his basic assumptions and angle of approach doesn’t to me.
