I don’t know if fear of death has a particular special significance in itself though.
Fear of change. Fear of uncertainty. Fear of loss of perceived control. Fear of absence – in the sense of the loss of object permanence, but that object is not our baby rattle that we can’t find or our momma’s face, but rather ourselves.
