Thing I don’t like about them is that they’re usually indiscriminate.Is it a boyfriend of 19 and girlfriend of 15 situation? It’s a crime but does it deserve vigilantism after serving time?

“We need to do something” conjures up images of pitchforks, nooses and “citizen justice” — even though these days offenders usually have ankle monitors, regular visitations and check-ins that if not followed result in instant incarceration in most jurisdictions.
So outside of keeping your own kids (if you have any) off those streets, what do you do with that information?
You should do ALMOST nothing because almost anything that is criminal, is criminal.
It just looks odd in 2020 as we expect something more dramatic. We’ve been conditioned.
