I didn’t know you were an Eastern Orthodox priest or if I did I’d forgotten – neat!
I’ve been going a lot through ontology lately, just trying to find my fit. Learning about particulars vs universals, suddenly finding this wonderful “LightofLights” metaphysics of an 11th century Persian theologian named Suhrawardi in a UML diagram which reminded me of what I loved in the Philokalia about Niketas Stithatos from way back, which brought me back to Essence vs Energies to “emmanation”, a Post Modernist Quaker’s description of inner light in Quakerism, Whitehead’s Process Theology, and yet again to panentheism. [that was last night’s research]
There’s a strange attractor I keep orbiting but never the same way twice. It’s a rush of stretched out confirmation bias over a lifetime of uncertainty and I love it.
