I did get help; biofeedback, guided visualization lessons, breathing techniques; that was the extent of it and the rest I had to figure out on my own, but learning those at 11 years old was a big help;
Raised Methodist, we didn’t have any concepts like that for me to use; but the world looked like it does when you’re about to die in a first person shooter game and the screen is red,everything looks fisheye, every sensory experience is turned up to 1000% volume level, and the inner chatter is evey louder than the outside world just to counteract it, and everything is very very hot or freezing internally
yes – I think I may have a similar feeling with my own research; I can see something others can’t but I can’t fully explain properly either so there’s no real way for me to know if anybody else also sees it unless they happen to say the right thing that lets me see that they can see it
maybe this is the appeal to hyperbole; it’s a false activation of that kind of urgent connection of understanding but it’s used to sell a product or idea;
