I did early voting in my county in Florida. They do their best to give accurate up to date numbers and statistics. One fascinating breakdown they give is “by location and party”. From there you can see how the voters in an area tended to vote. Early Voting doesn’t work as well for that as there are fewer spots but it’s still informative. In this case, I learned a balanced amount of Republican and Democrats did Early Voting at the same place I did. Looking at today’s Election, there’s a much smaller turnout than usual due to Coronavirus and because fewer people vote in primaries anyway – but it’s still fascinating to see just how many places are BALANCED in Democrat and Republican and which places are OUT OF balance. Florida as a whole is VERY balanced, as close to a perfect 50%/50% Democrat / Republican mix (that’s counting Independents as their voting parties) as you can get.
