I care more about 80 million Russian blocked by their government from being on Instagram, while Americans are cheering saying “social media is bad anyway and Putin is just doing what’s right for his people anyway” because that’s the narrative his people have been putting into our ears for a while.

Not everything Russian. Most Russian things are great. I have a lot of Russian friends on Instagram and I’m very sad to see them disappear right now.
But most of them don’t believe their leaders or news. They just gave up on politics long ago because there is no politics for them in Russia. They just do the best they can with the hand they’re dealt.

They’re very often found in the same places. It just so happens coincidentally, no idea why I find it together, that in the groups I’m in that are freely anti-semetic, they are also freely criticizing without restraint or banning, political actions of Israel – every single one of them no matter what because it’s Israel and they believe everything Israel must automatically be whatever they say about it all of the time.
I’m only going by my experiences.
Here in Florida, my state has banned any “alternative history” that paints the USA in a negative light. It was very vaguely written to encompass a large territory.
Teachers cannot mention anything about trans or gay in the Kindergarten-3rd grade – or other grades as needed {which means all grades without saying all grades}. – the “don’t say gay” law just passed last week.
I know about these issues

I care about the issues here as a whole. It’s not limited to Israel/USA relationship and Youtube and Russia.
It’s beyond left and right wing. I don’t know how to explain that

It’s messy to bring them together but if you’re talking about censorship and banning and consequences, put them together on the same sheet of paper. If you can say why they don’t belong today, that’s fine too.
Now, did you know about Abby Martin before Kyle freely told you about it on Youtube, a site that he makes money on and he’s not forbidden from talking about it?
Now a situation could happen where he’s banned from Youtube. That would be bad. Maybe have to switch to another service provider like that noisy guy that sells vitamins did and broadcast elsewhere. But he could still broadcast elsewhere.
Or have access to Instagram entirely shut down like Russia did to 80 million people. There’s censorship.
It’s not that it’s not bad that 600 videos were removed from a website and that it _could be_ a harbinger of things to come. Sure.
I mean, if the censorship I’m talking about isn’t the same as the censorship you’re talking about, and they’re in different categories, what are they? I’ll listen. I don’t know a lot of stuff.
