I can very much relate to this because I love playing with lots of high-level data, and so many of precisely the same roadblocks eventually emerge. Finding out that I consume papers in the same way as experts was gratifying. I love going through papers for fun because I can but I don’t like to spend time on them. So my scanning method is exactly the same: I look for what’s useful for me which is a Speed game.
