I believe it is a situation that is impossible not to make missteps in. Draconian talk can be both cheap and dangerous as equally as can a vague “tsk tsk we can do better”. I know that I lean on the vague “tsk tsk we can do better” side. But I accept that we _will_ screw up, whatever our response is. The question to me is what direction will be screw up in? We lean towards “The Rockets Red Glare” – it’s in our National Anthem – so I suspect it will lean on the side of “oopsie – collateral damage *again*?” or engage in yet more secret fighting as we never stop doing – but like you I hope we can do better
