I am starting to think of the Nueron and more specifically memory, as an engine. But not an engine existing in isolation: but rather, including the medium that it is in. The gray matter.

You will need to understand very soon how the neuron works. You need to understand the engine with the sodium gates and phospher gates and things.

And efficient engine is well oiled, and each of the mechanisms are working within specifications. What are the specifications of memory?

What happens when the action potential is made broader, as it is with quinine? What happens when it spikes? You can go backwards by looking at diseases and poisoning to find the extreme side effects. Then, compare the side effects to other similar poisonings and neurological conditions.

By understanding the extreme, then you can go backwards, and find out a less lethal version of the same thing.

But remember, you’re not looking for a nutritional solution. You’re looking for a series of rules and guidelines to improve working memory. This is a fun sidetrack.

Follow it down it’s natural course. Boredom is useful. Boredom tells you it’s time to do something else for now. You have exhausted this particular line of reasoning.
