I always like Wolfram hype: he knows how to work it and I love that about him as I also have no doubt it’s genuine. It’s his life’s work: little knitting patterns that construct a universe. Launching a new website is cool and I like that he’s doing it. I echo Gary Rodriguez’s point of “everything looks like a nail” – I often criticize Richard Dawkins with that (but unlike Wolfram, I don’t like Dawkins. I like Wolfram ) – at the same time he fully self-aware that he’s that way about it and hopes we go along the journey. I wouldn’t say that physics is corrupted because of modeling with computers. Set theory could only go so far : we NEEDED type theory to continue forward, even though types will lead you to situations of incompatibility that need reconciling in other ways – a bit of ‘smearing’ as it were, to reach second order. https://www.wolframphysics.org
