I always believed that neighborhood, borough, city, county, region, state, etc voting was far more critical in affecting day-to-day life. Of course that all changed here in FL with DeSantis, who has been stripping away local, city and county power from the start – starting with a very sneaky Trojan Horse: “Front Yard Gardening Bill”. Sneaky. But it was the wedge that allowed all KINDS of things that local, city and county leaders were now forbidden from doing – or rather -it allowed to State of Florida to enact whatever it wanted and local/city/county officials were powerfuless to enact counter laws to suit what’s important in their communities.
