I like how you describe it. One thing I love about interacting with you is that your ability to express your experience of ADHD affords me the ability to see myself in it and it’s refreshing as it usually feels lonely as I’m not always able to express what it’s like despite usually being pretty ok with wordsmithing and wordplay. Some aspects of experience are difficult to put into words. I love finding “perfect words” – that is, good word combinations that are solid enough descriptions of something that I consider important. Skeptical Generalist as a way to describe myself has been useful and I was proud at finding that combination of words and putting them together. Back in the mid 1990s, Rational Mystic was another combination of words for self-description that worked very well for that period of time — and I could use it again as it’s still self-descriptive just not a focal facet at the moment.
Oh I loved this. My Tandy 1000 TL (or was it TL/2 ? I forgot) was my baby. I was talking about Deskmate on Usenet in the 1990s , publicly mourning the loss of PC-Link and such. Some of the stuff I did is found on tvdog’s Tandy 1000 site. I made a master list of Deskmate programs back in 1993 which was as complete as I could make it then. Pre web and all. Also, I made an 8-bit wav to snd (or was it snd to wav?) converter called DMSOUND in Turbo Pascal that got a lot of use and even got picked up a few years later and upgraded by somebody else who couldn’t find me online. [his documentation says i disappeared].
So, math stuff. I like the “complete lattice”. I understand it. But I also like “constructive mathematics”. Intuitionistic logic. But without “law of excluded middle”, how do you get nice, clean separation between stuffs? Googling Constructive mathematics “complete lattice” and I get my next research: _Tarski’s lattice theoretical fixed point theorem_ which sounds really really familiar. I think I’ve been here before and here I am again.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe in weightless information. On August 25, 2015, I made that my stance. Search Google for: “Unfortunately, I don’t believe in weightless information” It was a hard stance to take but I had to. Weightless / massless information is simply an unreasonable, untenable position to take.
She’s a Republican in Democrat clothing. None of the ethos of Democrat or Progressive. Felt like a Trojan Horse from the getgo and continues to. I don’t love or hate Hillary Clinton but if Tulsi’s focus is Hillary Clinton and not defeating the Republican party in 2020, that says all I need.
