I actually forgot people do the zuccing and doxxing thing anymore. Strikes me as kind of a 2015 thing. Then again, I’m surprised Facebook made it past 2011 and 4chan made it past 2009, but hey, some things just keep hanging on.
The zuccing and doxxing just leads to martyrs and kickstarters. Good formula for extreme longevity and possible profit. It’s Christianity 101. I’d like to believe the doxxers *want* their so-called ‘enemies’ to have long fruitful online careers because that’s what they’re creating here.
Seems a move is in order though. Oh well, the whole phenomenon just seems odd to me, the whole “hundreds / thousands of us will all do this one thing that makes one person do one thing” – , kind of a GenY thing I guess.
I guess I’ve seen more anti-SJWs doing supposedly SJW tactics for longer than I’ve seen SJWs doing SJW tactics.
I don’t tread near 4chan. Shame ’cause the concept of 4chan was great but it’s been middle-school heaven for a while now. Just today, nephew (who just turned 12 the other week) was telling me his friend just discovered 4chan and was about to extoll the virtues of it in 6th grade lunch when my nephew stopped him and was like, “Stop. 4chan is the purest cancer and you’re going to infect others. Just stop it!” I expect my nephew to eventually be infected by 4chan like most white school middle schoolers do but for now, he’s got his head on straight.
One place where anti-SJW has been successful is spongebob memes. Nephew’s been infected there with some anti-SJW and alt-right politics but I do the (I hate this phrase) “teachable moment” thing when it comes up and then let him be. [uncle’s job: be the “yeah but…” guy and hope it gets in there somewhere).
Weird hearing an 11/12 year old spouting the stuff of 23 yr old angry unemployed dateless men but at least it’s easy to spot when it happens. [all the kids’ favorite youtubers are generally anti-women, anti-SJW with at least a touch of alt-right. some full-on. So that’s one area where anti-SJW has been effective, as it used to be kids’ cartoons always had “a message” but some aspects of memeland have modified the message. Oh well.
Thing is though, the edgier conservative culture has become a snake eating its own tail. Meme longevity is weeks now, soon to be days, and politics-as-a-meme has been starting its trip down the toilet into the septic system of history.
Had Trump *not* won, conservative politics would have been growing stronger and stronger but with the win and the shown idiocy at the top levels whereby even school kids don’t respect the current government, it won’t be long before the only nuevo-conservative people left will be the ones still parading Pepe memes around while the rest of the world moved on.
