I actually disagree with a lot of this video as it seems to imply that there was once a magical time where regular people sat around and discussed issues rationally. But, this is 8-bit Philosophy, so that’s part of the mythos of Philosophy in general. Politics has always had these elements of showmanship and “may the best bullshitter win!” And, I don’t subscribe to the notion of there being these “many masses” vs “us few intellectuals”. [but that’s a defense I’ll make another time] However, the video makes some good points, it’s entertaining to watch and it teaches a few things. So, with all of those exceptions (including my disagreement with the premise/conclusion), I present this:
