k if you need a motivational speaker guy, here ya go. It’s been a while since I listened to these kinds of things; I haven’t needed it. But I listened and it was fun. But if he _grabs_ you (and if he will at all, he’ll get you in the first few sentences), maybe you can use a nice expresso shot of motivation. I listened. He says all good stuff to get you off your butt if you need. If you don’t need it maybe you’ll just wish you took what he took before making this video. Either way, I approve of this kind of stuff. More Retrosplenial Cortex stuff. Fascinating to me: Atrophied Retrosplenial Cortex is found in Alzheimer’s Patients but not Dementia. This is fascinating. See, the Retrosplenial Cortex I’m learning holds onto what’s FAMILIAR to you. Places you recognize. Objects you recognize. People you recognize. If the “familiarity circuit” is damaged, everything’s new. Everybody’s new. And lack of familiarity is scary, particularly if you now lack the ability to form familiarity. A substitute Retrosplenial Cortex would solve it. A memory chip of familiarity. But we’re far from that. But someday they’ll figure it out.
People go where the people are. China has the biggest social networking platforms. Facebook has captured family connections which is where all the others fail. You can always find a place to join your friends. But find a place where your extended family is. The place that conquers family will win.
Two Retrosplenial Cortex finds meaningful to me:
Tenses of the have and had variety : what If it’s fast actions? Have is holding something Had is dropping and then picking up again moving back in time. Or some kind similar mechanics.
The central oxytocin (OXT) system appears ideally organized to modulate widely distributed neural systems and to regulate the switch between internal attention and salient stimuli in the environment.
