Ok, We’re talking about different levels here.

The XFL entered the free market system when it became a competitor to the NFL (or whatever it was competing again).

This is a valid analogy for a free market system at work.

However, what I was referring to was a *zero* competition situation.

Example: coal mining companies in the early 20th century.

There was one place to work and that was the coal mine. Company money was the only thing worth spending because when you converted it to real money, it wasn’t worth as much.

Now that coal company competed in a BROADER free market but it was more akin to one nation fighting another nation.

Can you see the levels I’m referring to here?
