Get rid of the nouns and use only impersonal verbs, modified by “it”.
“Upward behind the onstreaming it mooned”
not “the moon rose above the river”.
The world for them is not a concourse of objects in space. It is a heterogenous series of independent acts.
It is successive and temporal, not spatial.

It was something I figured out one day, trying to figure out what made stand out poetry so stand out… what was it missing? and then I saw what it was missing.
