“Hoegel had said he intentionally brought about cardiac crises in about 90 patients in Delmenhorst because he enjoyed the feeling of being able to resuscitate them.” Going by ridiculous comments on other posts: a) This was in Germany, not the USA b) His weight is not why he killed people. c) Yes, not all nurses are women d) There ARE no “These Type Of People Like This”. I can only suggest visiting as frequently as possible, try to get to know her caretakers and let them know by your presence and calls that you are there, paying attention to her and to them and that you care. I think that’s the best way to be sure that your mother is getting the best quality of care. I don’t know if you can do much more than that, but I don’t think you have to.
