History from the perspective of materials

^History from the perspective of materials engineering. It is the most humble view of history I've ever seen, as the dates really don't matter all that much but rather it's saying "Thanks" to all the people who came before and figured that stuff out, so they don't have to. I get the impression that anybody who works in Materials can equally imagine themselves hammering out a copper bowl or being there as they figure out how to make steel for the first time. I like it.^
