His parents were Methodist and to raise him as a normal boy, he’d have been baptised Methodist. Since didn’t convert to anything else, Superman is still Methodist.
Considering Rush Limbaugh, Rosa Parks, Jeff Sessions and Stephen King are all Methodist (at least raised), I don’t think there’s consensus.
Ecumenical, cooperative with various humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, etc groups, the UN, Episcopals, etc.
We’re all humans on the same planet type of thinking.
It’s interesting to me because I was raised Methodist and didn’t know that it was so big in the USA and in a number of countries.
Then I found out one half of Indigo Girls (they sing a song I like) was raised Methodist and her father is a Methodist minister.
THEN I found out Superman is Methodist.
After that, I had to find out more.
But no, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s a diverse bunch of people, so I don’t think there’s much of a common thread.
I was surprised too. I was hoping to find a lot of activists for human rights (there were a lot) but then I found people I don’t like (Rush Limbaugh, Jeff Sessions, Ted Bundy the serial killer…) and realized it’s just trivia information I’m passing on.
I hoped to find a pattern but probably the only thing in common is a basic humanist stance and knowing similar hymns.
Probably. I just know that undocumented is standard IRS talk, in use as long as I can remember.
It’s like WOP from early 20th century, although I think “without papers” was a bit of a myth story for Italians.
They’re VERY good at paying taxes too because they believe it might help them should ICE come.j
Of course it’s just paperwork. The IRS is glad to get the $ and will happily track you with any identification that is stable and has whole processes and procedures long in use for just this purpose.
Business is business and the govt is a business.
