Hey, I like UUs. That was my 2nd religious experiment.
First religious experiment was Baha’i – a teacher in high school took me to a couple of meetings. She probably wasn’t supposed to.
Second was UU, which was fun. Vague but fun. Quaker and Vipisanna meditation was next. I explored stuff.
we have coffee for OUR communion. Yeah, basically it. Play church but you can’t know what’s in somebody’s heart, etc etc.
It’s a nice bunch though. Same with Quakers. Similar worldviews even if it’s different worship practices.
It’s how I ended up Orthodox for a few years – each group was nice but had “something missing”. I don’t like the general Orthodox human politics side of things – but as far as getting Christianity theology correct, well, it’s in the name. Correct practice with correct belief.
I guess I do like extremes after all. UU <–> Orthodox spectrum certainly qualifies as the spectrum of Christian systems.
